Ich muss mal eine Lanze brechen für das Buch Das elektrische Kochen. Es feierte 2006 seinen 70. Geburtstag, kann aber noch lange mit all den bunten Schmöckern moderner Kochprofis mithalten.

Wladimir Kaminer im Ringlokschuppen

Durch Zufall habe ich mitbekommen, dass Wladimir Kaminer im Ringlokschuppen in Bielefeld eine Lesung hält. Nachdem ich ihn vor Jahren mal in der NDR Talkshow gesehen hatte, konnte ich nicht widerstehen. Also Karten gekauft und nix wie hin.

Resurection of Nautilus CVS scripts

I have to use CVS quite often and from time to time I'd like to use it directly from Nautilus. There was a project 'nautilus-cvs-scripts' that could be found at http://jodrell.net/projects/nautilus-cvs-scripts. Unfortunately it was dropped, but the SVN version is quite similar and based on the CVS version.
So I took this one and re-worked it. It's still far from completeness, but works at least for me now. If you like it feel free to download and use it and to send in patches ;)

Using zenity for interactive bash scripts

Zenity is for Gnome2 what gdialog was for Gnome1. You can use it display various kinds of dialog boxes from your shell scripts. Although one might think that this is superflous I find it very useful especially in combination with nautilus-action.
